Reviewing the year
We'll discuss the activities, events, and initiatives the co-op has helped facilitate throughout the year
Electing new board members -- VOTING IS FOR CO-OP MEMBERS ONLY --
We'll be electing three new board members. We are electing individuals onto the board, and the board itself will then decide what roles they will fill.
The different roles are:
-2nd Vice Chair
For the chair/vice chair roles we are looking for engagement with the community, leadership experience, and a vision for how your contributions can help strengthen the community.
The treasurer role is responsible for tracking spending, holding others accountable for receipts, and making sure taxes are completed correctly and submitted on time.
The secretary role is responsible for maintaining official corporate records and recording official team minutes.
Candidates are expected to contribute at least a few hours each week, and willing to make the time to meet in person every few months or more.
If you are interested in running, please try to make it to the event or send a delegate to nominate you and speak on your behalf. For all candidates we are looking for people who are responsible, experienced, and engaged with the community.
Suggestions for 2018
We'll take suggestions from the community for things the newly elected board can do over the next year and beyond.
Community Game Demo
We might do a community game demo tonight or might skip it since this is a more focused event/crowd.
We will be in the upstairs of The Pat Connolly Tavern (all ages welcome), and while we will not have a dedicated server upstairs, attendees can go downstairs to order food and drink, and the food will be brought up when it is ready.
Code of Conduct
The St. Louis Game Developer Co-op is dedicated to a harassment-free event experience (http://stlgamedev.com/events/code-of-conduct/) for everyone. All events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise specified.
