Starting Place

Music Box Stairs-At the intersection of Vendome and Del Monte (one block south of Sunset, one block west of Silverlake Blvd.)

Vendome is tough to see when driving on Sunset. If you're on Sunset Blvd; go to the intersection of Sunset and Silver Lake Blvd/Parkman and turn south, which is going towards Cafe Tropical.

Turn right onto Silver Lake Blvd.

At Marathon-which is a light, turn right.

Turn right at Vendome- which is the first right. About 2-3 blocks and you will see the Music Box stairs on your left.

You may want to look for parking on Marathon and walk to the Music Box Stairs, about 2 blocks, since parking near the stairs is limited and tough to find.

Parking: Parking is free street parking. BUT, it is limited and tough to find. You may have to walk a few blocks to find parking. Please give yourself enough time to find parking.

Start Time:

Please arrive at the bottom of the Music Box Stairs at 4:30 pm for introductions.

Walk starts promptly at 4:45pm.

Fast, workout type pace.

We will finish this walk within 1 hour 30 mins.

If you are not able to keep up with the group, you are on your own to get back to the starting point.

No crashers. Please just don't show up.

RSVP limits are set, because I don't want a huge group on these walks. So, if you RSVP only for yourself, don't bring a guest.

Always bring water and lots of it.

Dogs are welcomed but must be on a leash at all times.

There are NO restrooms at the start of this walk.

Any questions or concerns please email me, David.

Hope to see lots of new members!!

I had a great time chatting, there was quite a bit of shade, and David did a great job keeping us together- and planning out the course in advance. Thanks to all !!

Thanks for a great hike, everybody. Great to see so many new members and familiar faces. This group was great, we had very strong hikers!

On Tues. our friends at the Los Angeles Stairstreet Advocates, are doing their weekly Tomato Pie Walk at 7pm.

David, I had fun, nice to see new faces, my hips are sore. My condition hike paid off, I was not trailing this time. Love it.

Here is the Google 3D Video of the map of the hike. It worked in Firefox for me but not safari. I had to install the Google Earth plugin first which it will most likely prompt you to do. After you install it you may need to quit the browser and relaunch. I recommend pausing the video and then dragging to move the map so it doesn't make you dizzy.
