Echo Park 100 (Walks #14-17, 26, 27)

Echo Park has some of the longest and steepest staircases in the city. If you did the Echo Park to Chicago (Pizza) by staircases, this walk adds three more staircases and we are starting at Chango Coffee instead of Masa of Echo Park.

Meeting Place

Chango Coffee
1559 Echo Park Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90026
Across from Magic Gas Station.

Start time

Please arrive at Chango by 3pm.

We will have introductions, then start our walk promptly at 3:15pm.

There is free parking near Chango, though you may have to park a few blocks away.

Pace- Please be honest about your conditioning level!

Fast, workout pace.

If you are unable to keep up with the group, you are on your own to get back to the starting point.

No crashers- Please sign up for this event. Please do not just show up.

RSVP limits are set, because I don't want a huge group on these walks. So, if you RSVP only for yourself, don't bring a guest.

Please keep your RSVP updated and current. Repeated No Shows may lead to members being removed from the group.

There usually are no restrooms along these walks. Restrooms are usually only available at the starting point of the walks.

Always bring plenty of water.

Always wear running/tennis shoes. Open toed shoes are not a good idea for these stairs walks.

I'm having a root canal on Saturday, but I'm hoping to be okay for this one. It looks like a monster!

LoL! I had a couple of root canal done in the past, and it actually feels better when they were working on it. You will be fine. hope to see you on the walk.

Have to cancel. Root canal turned into extraction, so no hike...just soft foods... :(
