At this meetup, Hedera will evaluate some specific use cases commonly chosen by developers in the Hedera community. Together we will review some of the resources available for developers, and exactly how to get started building game-changing decentralized applications using Hedera Hashgraph’s network and services. - How to Build Blockchain Applications in GoLang: An Education Webinar with Orbs
Orbs is partnering with Galvanize to share how easy it is to start building blockchain solutions on the Orbs public blockchain. The goal of this session is to get you started with the Orbs network, and see how simple it is to run it locally and create contracts on top of Orbs using Golang. A Zoom meeting link will be shared with the participants who register. What is Orbs: Orbs is the hybrid blockchain offering performance as fast as centralized solutions without compromising security. Orbs has developed breakthrough technologies to achieve scale without compromising decentralization - virtual chains and Randomized Proof-of-Stake (rPoS) for speed and security. Adopting Orbs alongside Ethereum allows DApps to enjoy the best of both chains: unmatched security, liquidity and ecosystem integration, together with low-fees, production-ready scalability and suitable fee structure. This combination of Ethereum + Orbs is the optimal solution for applications with millions of users looking to adopt blockchain, today. In this session, we will cover: - The Orbs Technology Stack - Getting started using the Orbs Starter Kit - Overview of tooling - Overview of contract structure - Overview of the client-side - Creating and deploying a contract Who Should Attend: Software engineers looking to learn more about building on blockchains Industry Junior + Senior Software Engineers Anyone working with large enterprise data About Galvanize: Galvanize is the premiere dynamic learning community for technology. With campuses located in booming technology sectors throughout the country, Galvanize provides a community for each the following: Education – part-time and full-time training in web development, data science, and data engineering Workspace – whether you’re a freelancer, startup, or established business, we provide beautiful spaces with a community dedicated to supporting your company’s growth Networking – events in the tech industry happen constantly in our campuses, ranging from popular Meetups to multi-day international conferences To learn more about Galvanize, visit galvanize.com. - ZANEAPALOOZA 3: Goodbye San Francisco
ZANEAPALOOZA 3 is finally here and it is an emotional one. I'm moving to New York in October, so we're going to celebrate the amazing 5 years SF (and all of you!) have given me. 🎉 It's become really trendy to hate on SF, so we're going to flip the script 🔁 Everyone knows the Bay ❤️'s costumes, so we encourage (borderline demand) you dress up as a SF/Bay Area neighborhood. What does Marina, Castro, Oakland look like to you? We'll give away a special prize 🎁 to the best costume. Here's so other random stuff we'll probably have: 🎵 Obviously the best musicians (lineup TBA) ⚡️ Interactive installations 🎨 Art exhibitions 🎭 Performers ❤️ Love I can't wait to see you all there About the location: Starfish Mission is a hub for emerging tech communities with a focus on blockchain/Web3 and AI, based out of the mid-market area in San Francisco.
