Our next event is scheduled, and it is all about Angelcube! Angelcube is one of Melbourne's leading venture accelerators (a bit like the Techstars of Melbourne), and they are opening up their 2014 intake very soon.
The night will feature free pizza and drinks, as well as the opportunity to hear from past participants on their experience.
The format looks a little like this:
6:30 - Drinks, pizza and the best startup networking Melbourne has to offer
7:00 - Two lightning talks from past Angelcube participants..hear how they got in, what the experience is like and what value they got out of it
7:15 - The co-founder of Angelcube Nathan Sampimon will talk about what is involved for 2014, including how to apply. The night will also feature a lot of open Q&A with Nathan and past participants, so get your questions ready!
Highlights from the last 3 years of Angelcube include Lifx raising more than $1 million on Kickstarter to reinvent the lightbulb, App.io moving to San Francisco after raising a seed round, and Coinjar growing like a weed after raising from Blackbird Ventures.
Successful companies in the Angelcube program receive $20,000 seed capital; 6 months free office space; a rigorous 12 week program; access to a larger pool of mentors - and of course the opportunity to participate in demo-days in Australia, and with other network partners in the United States.
