What we're about

Let’s get outdoors in our own city and discover new things and places to work out!

If you are looking to lose weight, gain muscle, or just be active for the sake of it, then join us on several different socializing adventures around Calgary.

Switching up your routine is usually the best way to conquer stubborn fatty areas. I have been active and struggling with my weight for years. Being motivated to go to the gym almost daily, I am noticing I need to switch things up by trying new activities.

This is a club for community, support, socializing, and all working together towards our own individual goals. Some activities we will be doing include: laser tag, aquasize, softball, bowling, Crossfit, hiking, trampoline park, yoga, archery, rock climbing, etc.

Cost is $10 for annual membership to cover the cost of meetup fees and is due on your first RSVP

This club is designed to connect likeminded people working to improve their health, lifestyle, and body. We will be meeting at least once a month and doing something fun to keep us on track, discussing struggles, supporting each other and sharing new ideas.

Axe Throwing! Unleash your inner Frank!

BATL | The Backyard Axe Throwing League

Come on out, have some laughs and throw some axes. With a group between 13 and 24 people we will have four lanes of targets and will probably be throwing for 2 - 2.5 hours. They do serve some food and beer/wine at the venue and/or anyone interested can head to one of the pubs/restaurants in the area afterward. This will also be cross posted in Anything But Couches- any guests attached to my profile will be from that group. Sorry, about this section, but I have been burned before. Cost is $45 per person. This is the fee charged by the venue. Since I have already put down a deposit this needs to be prepaid unless we have already met and I can trust you to show up. If you end up cancelling any excess money will be returned- so, if you cancel but we still end up with enough attendees, you get a full refund. If you cancel and we end up with less than enough attendees to cover the min. cost, I will take enough of the money to cover what I paid upfront and everyone who paid and cancelled will get an equal share of what is left. Basically, I don't make any money from this, but I am not willing to lose a lot of money either. On that note, if we don't have a critical mass of attendees a week before the event, it will be cancelled and all money will be refunded. Email transfers can be made to [masked] [you will be moved to the waitlist until payments are made]
