The Steel City Revit Users Group (SCRUG) has set the ground rules that are set up by the “Users”. This forum is for “Users” that apply Revit in their BIM Process. Our focus is on the technical aspects in model building but not limited to. Those who use the software are encouraged to participate at our meetings sharing experiences, tips & tricks, and open discussions. Our meetings are to increase the knowledge of the software but also anything that relates to the connectivity with Revit or the BIM Process. SCRUG is not a forum for advertising. The sharing of knowledge is welcome from Owners, Contractors, End-Users, and Technical Reps.
Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the Month. Locations may vary and will be both posted on Linked-In and emailed. To get on the mailing list, please contact Jeremy Schmidt, Rich Crawford, or Jeff Light:
Jared Kaufman, will be showing how WL PORT-LAND SYSTEMS INC, along with help and guidance from Case Tech, have used Revit to model buildings that are not typical for Revit. As commercial/industrial hybrids they are primarily a concrete structure shell with some steel substructure. He will touch on slip form construction details and how they are using many of the features of Revit in ways other than they may have originally been intended. Revit is being used to create complex models and drawings that are more detailed than in the past and hopefully better able to translate the design to the field.
