Our Rockers charter is based on several aspects of core rider group ideals, history, camaraderie and of riding together for many years. We love our bikes and believe that they’re built for riding in any weather condition. A clean bike is great, but not riding because it might be cold or rainy is a piss poor excuse. Polished bikes that are merely stared at and ridden infrequently have no place in this club.
We’re all for the Rocker culture that started in England in the 1960’s. If you think this sounds a bit like the Ton Up Club philosophy, you’re right. We stole some of it, tweaked it some because we like it, and agree with it, and made it our own.
As Rockers, we are prepared to make a difference in the café racer community. We will take café bikes and the Rocker culture and develop it here in Pittsburgh, PA which is a V-twin Harley mecca. We will be different. We will provide a great alternative for folks that really believe in the Rocker culture and enjoy thrashing our cafés around. There won’t be many of us.
You can ask for membership consideration. And we will consider it. We will evaluate your heart, your mind, your bike and how you ride. If you are destined to be a part of this, we'll feel it. We’re no 1%ers nor do we want to be. We ain't no M.C. because that's not our bag. We like to wrench on our bikes and to live and breathe the café Rockers lifestyle.
Bottom line, it’s all about hanging out with your friends, riding your bike through the ‘Burgh over bridges and through tunnels, hitting the twisties and the interstates and going to cafés and rock-n-roll bar stops, n ‘at and heading up to the track to race.
Requirements for membership:
1. Must believe in the club philosophy.
2. Must have a motorcycle that either is a café racer, is built in the spirit of a café racer and is ridden with that attitude.
1.No “Cruiser” motorcycles allowed. If you want to be considered for membership in this café racer based club, best to have a Café. Further discussion on this matter automatically disqualifies you from membership consideration.
2.A modified Ducati Monster is cool, however, a Ducati 996 isn’t. A caféd out Honda CB750 will work, but not a Kawasaki Ninja, or a Honda CBR, Yamaha R1, etc. Let’s be serious here folks. Stock bikes ain’t gonna work. A slip-on on your crotch rocket does NOT make it a café racer. Further discussion on this matter automatically disqualifies you from membership consideration.
3. There are no officers in the club. All events are handled by members of the club as a group.
4. Membership in "the meetup" does not constitute membership in the Rockers - Pittsburgh.
