Grounds Cleanup at a Horse Sanctuary
Zenerjen is Altamonte Springs' best kept secret and a hidden slice of heaven. Tucked behind a residential community, The Zenerjen Foundation Center is a nonprofit that is a horse and human sanctuary. For this Meetup we will support the amazing work the Founder Jen Zoe does by helping clean up the grounds. The property is made up of over 12 acres and several trees are down and need to be cut up and piled for bonfires. The trails need cleaning up to remove low hanging branches and also to pick up trash that seems to always accumulate on the trails. Kids 10 and older are welcome with an adult. There will be shade and sun so please wear appropriate clothes, closed shoes, sunscreen and bring a bathing suit and a packed lunch. We can take a dip in the pool afterward to cool off and enjoy lunch together. Bring some carrots or apples as treat for the horses, if you'd like. Please wait until someone from Zenerjen is present before approaching the horses. Please also bring yard trash bags, chainsaws and other yard tools as well as yard gloves. There are a couple of tractors we can use. When you arrive (don't miss the entrance, it's the only little dirt road in the neighborhood) there is a gate box, put in the code 1327 and the gate will open. Park near the barn and carpool if you can. If you get lost, call[masked]. Come meet the horses and walk through Zenerjen! You may never want to leave... Click to watch a video about Zenerjen:
