Join us as we embrace cultural diversity at the Afrocentric Orlando event, in celebration of Black History Month. The event will start with a mix and mingle social hour. This will be followed by a lineup of poets, traditional music and dance performances by well-known national and international African artists. A multi-cultural fashion show will highlight colorful designs from noted Nigerian designer, AKANBI. There will be displays of African arts, crafts, and fashions to view and purchase. Many ethnic foods will also be available to sample. Our special guest speakers include Florida State Senator Geraldine F. Thompson. To end the evening, The DJ will open the floor for you to dance the night away to Afro beats. This event is benefiting The Wells' Built Museum of African American History and Culture.
