These free events give you the opportunity to stitch in an inspiring environment with fellow enthusiasts. Bring along your needlework projects, embroidery, knitting, crochet, tatting, or even mending, and enjoy the company of others while you create.
San Francisco School of Needlework and Design (SNAD) is a non-profit school that teaches hand embroidery. SNAD has a library of over 3,000 books on needlework which are available for the public to browse during Stitch-Ins. There is also a small design room with a light box, rulers, colored pencils etc. that is available for your use. Additionally, a small shop of embroidery supplies is on site if you need to purchase materials but please note, there is no formal instruction during this event. Feel free to bring your lunch to eat while you stitch!
