My personal approach to trading mostly focuses on human perceptions, motivations, and behaviors in reaction to what is going on in this world and who/what are making the stocks move (people, algorithmic traders, HFT, etc.).

Here's an example:

Imagine that you have the ability to predict whether a stock will go up or down. How rich would you be?

Now imagine that you know that 80% of traders use fundamental and technical analysis efficiently. Then, you could predict with an accuracy of 80% what people will do, right? Now imagine that you can also include in the equation the behavior of other types of trading systems (e.g. algorithmic, HSTs, A.I. analyzing news event systems), make sense of all of this and make trading decisions in microseconds?

These technologies actually exist. However, only available to few elites.

Our brain, however, is more powerful than the best computer currently on the market. Thus, I believe that combining and sharing our knowledge in plain language that everyone can relate to (e.g. about what we know, how we perceive, and our individual trading motivations and behaviors), the more we can have an improved mindfulness as it relates to trading.

For this reason, I believe that we need novices, experts and everyone in between in our group, so we can all learn from one another.

Cheers,
René
