Thanks for the meet-up, was very nice to see some practical samples on what can be done with Emacs. Probably time to revisit my Emacs config while at it :)

Great meetup, I learned a lot. Let's hope I can figure out creative ways to use macros in the future.

Pay attention Martin. Macros are kind of cool, but they should be used only when there is no other choice. Macros are harder to understand and debug. You may want to read http://www.paulgraham... before adding too much to your code base.
Hey guys, thanks for the meetup today. It was awesome. We need more emacs-related stuff in Stockholm so I registred ##emacs-sthlm on freenode for this purpose.
Remember it's two hashes because of freenode naming of channels and I don't know how to make a forward of people joining the channel with one hash.

I will present either Magit or how to write an Emacs package. Can you please tell me which one you would prefer? Also, please tell me your level of expertise with each.

I'm interested in learning more about writing Emacs packages. I'm somewhat familiar with Elisp and how to publish stuff on MELPA but don't know that much about the package ecosystem tools like Cask, unit testing frameworks etc.

I was wondering if there are any thoughts on using lexical binding in Emacs. Introduced in 24.1, should one use lexical binding, or code so older versions of emacs can run what you code. Using lexical binding would release us from using `let' constructs all the time, yes? One of the newbie hurdles if you ask me.
I could do a presentation of Elisp, if you think it could be useful.
