Hi all VR people,
We got a really amazing lineup for the next meetup! Brand new VR company Fast Travel Games (with a background from EA DICE, Rovio and Avalanche) will be both sponsoring as well as sharing some lessons from their journey from AAA to indie, incl how they work, what tools they use and how to get to their first VR title.
Equally new and hot VR company Warpin' Media joins to talk about what VR can do for brands, as well as commercialization of VR.
SVRVIVE will join to talk about their experience from VR game development.
Last but not least Information Experience will present insights from developing an enterprise app for the HoloLens from Microsoft.
We'll have a Hololens demo from Information Experience, as well as both SVRVIVE and Wands showing their games. Id3D will show their HTC Vive demo from architecture and real estate. More demos will probably pop up. Perhaps we at Gleechi will show you the first VR app with realistic hand interaction (who were just mentioned in roadtovr I might add http://www.roadtovr.com/virtualgrasp-aims-to-finally-deliver-realistic-hand-interactions-in-vr/ ). We'll see.
Our good old friends at STING is back as sponsor and will hopefully say a few words about their new new game incubator, check it out! ( http://www.stockholminnovation.com/vara-program/test-drive/game/ )
As you probably have noticed we have also partnered up with VR Sverige & Embassy at Tegelbacken who will become the new VR hub. The event starts at 18.00 sharp. Some kind of food will be served at some point.
As usual, if you cant attend PLEASE change rvsp so that someone else can join instead. We hate people who RVSP and dont come. Yes, hate.
Torkel from Voysys is looking at helping us with a live streamed VR channel - we'll update with link during the week for everyone who can't attend.
And while I got your attention, VR Days Europe (November[masked] in Amsterdam) has a discount for all Stockholm VR members -20% discount on All-Access tickets: STOCKHOLM-VR-MTP-R20%
