• What should a startup have in place in order to impress investors and make them want to commit?

• How does an entrepreneur know whether to pursue VC funding, investment from an angel, or crowdfunding?

• Learn these things and more + get your questions answered

• Then watch several companies pitch to them

18:45: Check-In/Mingling, 19:00 or 19:15 Panel Discussion, 20:15-21:00 Pitching Session + Q&A, and final words from the investors, then more mingling. This is an 'after dinner' event so no food will be served.

Ian Lucey is the founder of the Lucey Fund, a Venture Technology firm that builds, sells and finances products for early-stage startups. The Lucey Fund has offices in 6 countries including the USA, Ireland, UK, and Spain. They have invested in over 70+ startups over the past 3.5 years. Ian spoke and judged numerous events at DCU, DTI, UCLA, Startup Ole!, Web Summit, Uprise Festival, Trinity College, etc. Previously Ian has been Sales Director with Relate Software, a Deloitte Fast50 company, board member of the Irish Internet Association and numerous startups, managed the Accountants Division in Sage Ireland and was Ireland's youngest National Student Union officer. Ian has experience building and selling SaaS, ERP, Accounting, Time & Billing, CRM and Payments systems around the world.

Tanya Marvin-Horowitz is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CAP A, and also Partner at Finland-based, Butterfly Ventures. Tanya has resided in Stockholm, Sweden since early 2014, after 10 years in NYC. CAP A is a US- based VC fund focusing on preferred seed and Series A investments in the Nordics as those companies start to scale to the US Marketplace. Butterfly is CAP A 's new Nordic based pre-Seed / Seed VC fund vehicle solely focused on early stage, deep tech. Prior to starting CAP A, Tanya spent 10+ years as a FINRA registered M&A Advisor and Asset Manager. Her substantial rolodex consists of global corporations, PE & VC Funds. Tanya was a collegiate tennis athlete and has a BBA from GA State University with a minor in Mathematics.

Linus Dahg is heading Inventure's operations in Sweden. Linus has been in venture capital for more than 5 years – first with Almi Invest in Stockholm, then with Wellington Partners in London. Prior to joining our team, he was part of the management of a Copenhagen-based startup Tonsser, where he worked on growth, product and partnerships. At Inventure, Linus looks at both consumer and enterprise opportunities, focusing on software, AI, machine learning, and food tech.


Peter Fosso is a serial entrepreneur from Seattle, Washington (USA) and the founder of Global Music Project, NetMusic Entertainment, Seattle Entrepreneurs, Stockholm Entrepreneurs, and more. Peter has a diverse background as an entrepreneur with strong expertise in the music industry, technology, and consumer or B2B-related businesses. He's an Internet business developer and consultant, advising in companies' business development, marketing, social media strategies, and can help Swedish companies enter the U.S. marketplace.
