Walk - Marsden
A walk from Marsden on some lesser-used paths along Binn Moor and Marsden Moor, following the Deer Hill conduit. A route adorned with a number of orphan stone bridges in various stages of dilapidation. Look down on the Pennine Way walkers who have no idea of this fabulous alternative route. It includes a balcony walk above Butterly, Blakeley and Wessenden reservoirs with superb views along the valley & down into Marsden. There is a climb to West Nab with great views Northwards (weather permitting) all the way to Leeds and beyond. Exactly which way around: clockwise or anti-clockwise will be decided on the day. Approximately 11 - 13 miles, total ascent of 2000 feet. Meet 09:30 at Piccadilly Stockport for lift-sharing to the start point in Marsden. Parking at SE[masked] Route most of this, but not exactly, as the editing features are not its best point: Walk leader Cary[masked].
