  • Stone Hill Book Drive Collection *FINAL OPPORTUNITY* & Blood Drive Meeting

Last year's book drive was wildly successful so we're doing it again this year! Final day to donate will be the May meeting. Children's books will be donated to Kids and Canines as part of their "Furry Tales" program in which children and those kids with reading problems read aloud to the dogs. This builds confidence in the reader and gives the dogs the opportunity to practice their sit/stay skills. The remainder of the books donated will go to veterans: the VA hospital and overseas to our troops. The full donation will be made in coordination with Memorial Day. If you could separate the books into kids and adult, and include a count of each type, that would help out immensely. Thank you in advance, Amy Kerr Necronomicon Public Relations Stone Hill is a non-profit organization responsible for hosting NecronomiCon & Southern Media Convention. VALENTE From her website: is a author of fantasy and science fiction novels, short stories, and poetry. She lives on an island off the coast of Maine with a small but growing menagerie of beasts, some of which are human, a red accordion, an uncompleted master’s degree, a roomful of yarn, a spinning wheel with ulterior motives. She has worked as a professional fortune teller, telemarketer, private tutor, librarian, waitress, bartender, actress, and statistician, all of which are more or less the same thing. If you add all of those jobs up and add self-employment tax, you get a fantasy novelist.
