Introduction to Mindfulness

Mindfulness has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus and creativity, boost your immune system and even make you younger ! Studies have shown that those who practice Mindfulness regularly are up to 7.5 years younger than those who don't. 

This is because stress and the ageing process cause the telomeres that protect our chromosomes to fray and expose our chromosomes to damage but practising Mindfulness regularly has been shown to increase the level of telomerase in our blood and thus increase protection for our chromosomes. 

Increased production of feel good hormones such as Oxytocin and Serotonin have been shown as well as a decrease in Cortisol and Adrenalin, which are overproduced in states of constant stress and anxiety.
