Citizens of Napa - Alert! Our community is under threat from Davidon Homes of Walnut Creek. This developer has a proposal to build Napa Oaks, a 53 home subdivision that will forever mar a southwest hillside in Napa. Located off Old Sonoma Road in South Napa, this hillside is a buffer between an existing neighborhood and adjacent vineyards. These million-dollar homes will forever change the rolling, oak-studded hillside and recklessly ruin Napa with its "Orange County-ification."

An estimated 570 mature Oak trees will be removed on 9+ acres of woodlands to make way for homes, driveways and roadways. Light pollution will fill the night sky. Water runoff will threaten longstanding vineyards on one side of the hillside and a mature neighborhood on the other. Multiple fault-lines run through the property and suffered major slippage in the 2014 Napa earthquake. This property is unsuitable for development for these and so many more reasons.

Davidon Homes has twice sued the City of Napa to allow the subdivision to be built. Twice, the courts agreed with Napa to stop Davidon Homes. Yet, here they are again, trying to push through this reckless subdivision.

We, the citizens of Napa, and friends of Napa are calling on the Napa City Council, to again stand firm against this reckless developer. Our community's open space, safety, well-being, and sensible planning need to be considered first and foremost, ahead of any outside developer trying to rob Napa of its world-class beauty and heritage.

Never before in the history of Napa, has a developer been allowed to build a subdivision of this many homes on a hillside. Don't let this be the first!
