Witch-Kings of Mennec (Kingdom)

The royal bloodline of the Witch-Kings of Mennec is tainted, sapping their sorcerous power. They are too weak to take arms against the dragon-worshipping barbarians so our depraved queen turns to the most despised weapon of all… diplomacy.

I really enjoyed the setting creation and there were great contributions from everyone. Our eldritch nobles had lots of moody, spooky and evocative locations to brood and plot in. Our characters also started off with lots of great bonds, so we had zero difficulty getting into trouble.

I forget who it was who made the observation, but someone pointed out that every single character kept having friendly, ally-building discussions with other characters and then saying terrible things about those same people behind their backs. Ah, family!

Points to Drew for murdering his mother, points to Tim for pushing to get murdered, points to ET for being the stable hand that doomed our kingdom to dragon-fire, and points to Heather for not raising an army of the dead because it would upset the peasants…
