What aspect of Interactive and Immersive Media are you involved in?

As the Evangelist at a stealth startup we're building applications that allow entities (content) to connect with out entities (persons, places things). We believe the Web has for too long been circumscribed by a network of URLs which doesn't allow users to fully immerse themselves in all the content that isn't hyperlinked on a website. We want to facilitate a world where users can not only immerse themselves in all content on the Web, but also be able to mark it up with their own personal self-expression. In other words, they can annotate it with text, images, video. They can then share their "self-expression" with friends on Facebook or Twitter. We also want to revolutionize search. By way of "hypermediating" the content on every URL, the Web comes alive. Users can explore this content in many different ways. We believe the added context will also usher in a robust, contextualized advertising platform that'll produce paid ads people actually want to experience, not avoid.

I used to be the Evangelist at the semantic search company (hakia). We pioneered the use of Natural Language Processing (NLP). I've since left and am working on using NLP/entity extraction to redesign how we experience the web. Think Quora+Wikipedia.
