Join us for yet another exciting story-coding workshop of creation and play, bringing back your very own earliest story experiences. Together with the team from Duck Learning (http://www.ducklearning.com), official LEGO® Education partner in Singapore, we will unleash the power of narratives inherited by the famous little plastic bricks that shaped everybody’s childhood.
The Science Center Singapore (http://www.science.edu.sg) is kindly supporting this event as venue host. Under the “Hangout Initiative” the Center started to connect to local communities within the realm of arts and science.
Date: 11. April 2015

About the lab and instructors?
Duck Learning is the Exclusive Distributors of LEGO® Education in Singapore. It is an education consultancy which believes in helping students realize and develop their full potential in order to become socially responsible leaders of the future. Each student has a unique style of learning and will develop into a unique individual based on his background, prior knowledge and values. Thus, we have developed a unique learning method to ensure that students are allowed and encouraged to learn using their individual learning patterns and to develop their unique personalities and styles of leadership. Our experiential learning methodology consists of facilitation, workshop design and material design based on thinking skills, 21st century skills and social and emotional learning which maximizes learning and allows students to effectively apply what they have learned in our workshops into their lives. Duck Learning strives to avoid the ‘cookie-cutter’ approach to designing workshops and thus wants to ensure that every workshop is completely customized to meet every school’s unique learning needs.
What will we code during the meetup?
After a quick introduction into the fundamentals of creating with LEGO® Education and showcasing recent projects the instructors from Duck Learning will guide participants through the process of ad-hoc story hacking and building own brick figures. Working materials will be provided. Participants will be able to take home their very own duck figures.
All stories, content and creative hacks will be documented and published to the project’s web page and other online channels.
