For twenty-five years Dan Lyons was a magazine writer at the top of his profession--until one Friday morning when he received a phone call: Poof. His job no longer existed. Dan was, in a word, screwed.
Then an idea hit. Dan had long reported on Silicon Valley and the tech explosion. Why not join it? HubSpot, a Boston start-up, was flush with $100 million in venture capital. They offered Dan a pile of stock options for the vague role of, “marketing fellow.” What could go wrong? A lot, apparently.
Get settled, order food/drinks, and catch up with everyone on Tuesday, December 13th at 7pm. We'll meet upstairs at the Sitting Duck Tavern (reservation is under “Beth”) and then let the book commentary fly at 7:30pm. (**Snow date: Thursday, 12/15. Same time, same place.)
Copies are available to check out at Stratford Library and if you're a resident, you can borrow a copy digitally from OverDrive. (If you're an out-of-towner and want a digital copy, check with your local library.)
