What we're about

The purpose of this Meetup is to arrange events and activities that are not only fun in their own right, but possibly more importantly, to help people make new friends.

It seems to us that the single most important thing in life is the people with who we share our time.

We will endeavour to arrange a variety of things - from the unstructured, "Lets just meet at a pub" to events and shows possibly based around the theatre. Whatever the event, the idea will be to get you out of your house and mixing with people; with a view to formulating long term friendships and having fulfilling lives.

We really hope we can help...

Choral music at our very own Stone Henge. Well, Rollright Stones.

As, "It says on the tin" I guess. Sounds great to me - The Stratford Festival Orchestra (and choir) performing at the Rollright Stones. Should be atmospheric and different. Mr Kemp at his creative best, no doubt. No pressure Simon :)

Cracking Quiz Night @ Boston Tea Party

Boston Tea Party

£2.00

I think you may all know the score by now (and let's hope it's a good one!). We have three tables of six again and what more could you wish for a great night out - good company, food and drink and the grey matter gets a little exercise too - all for £2.00 .....and there really is a cash prize up for grabs as our teams in the past have proved! If you sign up and can't make it please take yourself off the list as this is a popular event, and if it's full but you are local it might be worth popping in anyway as there are often places and if you can't find a team the cakes are worth a visit! (Please note food or drink not included in the price!)

It’s Saturday night - it’s Rock & Soul, Rhythm & Blues @ The Stratford Alehouse

This was a real hit last month and if you are not familiar with Simon Kemp and his musical mastery then you are in for a real treat! Mr Kemp’s Bad to the Bone will be performing good time blues, rhythm and soul at the wonderful Stratford Alehouse. This fabulous family-run ‘pub’ serves the finest real ales, cider and wine in town and is a rocking venue when it comes to live music. I have restricted the numbers due to the intimacy of the venue - it's a bit of a squeeze in there - but a good squeeze! 😊 There is limited seating; however don’t be put off by that and if the event is full you are welcome to turn up - you won’t be turned away although you might be dancing on the street! *PLEASE NOTE CASH BAR ONLY*
