It goes without saying that a healthy workforce plays a massive part in any successful enterprise.

In SEAM #23, in partnership with Oracle, MQ Mental Health and regular sponsor E-Synergy Solutions, we’ll be hearing from Felicity Ward, Drewe Broughton and myself, Barry Chandler (eek), who, through learning from their own fairly extreme experiences will share insights into how they coped/are coping which hopefully will be of value if/when you or people close to you go through tough times.

We’ll also be hearing from MQ Mental Health’s Daisy Crump who’ll be giving an overview of the important work they are doing.

6.30 – 7:00 – Arrive, networking, pizzas and drinks

7:00 – 7:30 – When shit happens – Barry Chandler

We all spend the majority of our week working, quite often in challenging circumstances.

We all have lives outside of work and sometimes things happen which can put us through immense emotional and/or physical trauma.

In this talk, Barry will provide a personal account of family loss and illness. He’ll explain what he has learnt as a result of going through these experiences whilst holding down a demanding job in banking technology and provide some guidance which could help you cope and come through similar events if/when they happen to you.

Expect some darkness, some light and a little bit of Sponge Bob Squarepants.

7:30 – 8:00 – Vulnerability the key to success – Drewe Broughton

Drewe is an ex-professional footballer, movement and high performance specialist and author. As well as supporting many existing professional footballers, Drewe also supports leaders in large global enterprises to help them be the best they can be.

From starting his career as a centre forward for Norwich FC to helping others succeed when small margins count, Drewe has seen and experienced some highs and lows. In this talk, Drewe will be exploring the importance of vulnerability and the role it plays in helping people and enterprises achieve high performance.

8:00 – 8:15 – Intro to MQ Mental Health – Daisy Crump

Daisy is the community officer for a great charity called MQ Mental Health. Daisy will give an overview of the amazing work they do and how you could get involved, should you or your organisation wish to.

8:15 – 8:45 – Comedy set + Q&A – Felicity Ward

Felicity is an incredible stand up comedian who I’m sure many of you would have seen on TV and/or at one of her many performances across London and the wider universe. What’s even more amazing is that she can entertain hundreds of people by herself whilst suffering from anxiety.
Felicity will be performing a 20 minute stand up set and follow that with some Q&A (Which doesn’t mean heckling!). Can’t wait!
