We are going to the opera to see Boris Godunov on Sat night Nov 15. I was able to get us a 30% discount, and this performance features OperaVision, so you can have great views for as little as $35.
OperaVision is an innovative way to give balcony audiences a better view of the opera stage. OperaVision screens, hung from the ceiling of the balcony section, provide close-up and mid-range ensemble shots in high-definition video with subtitles.
The show is at 8pm, and we'll have dinner and cocktails at the Blue Muse from 6pm. Dinner is $29 prix fixe. at 7:30, we'll go walk over to the opera house to find out seats. Afterward, we'll go to Max's Opera Cafe for dessert.

In this Mussorgsky masterpiece, a Russian ruler is haunted by a horrible act he committed years earlier. The concise original version of the opera, focusing on the emotional disintegration of the title character, creates a theatrical experience of searing intensity. Samuel Ramey, recipient of the 2003 San Francisco Opera Medal, returns in the title role. The Washington Post raved: "His electrical presence, his bounding athleticism, his keen intelligence, his dark and chimerically versatile bass voice were all put to the noblest of purposes: a fully fleshed-out, highly complicated portrayal of the flawed Czar."
Balcony Rear $35
Balcony Front $52
Balcony Circle $66
