Volunteer at Feed My Starving Children
REGISTRATION: You MUST individually register on the Feed My Starving Children web site to pack meals at this event. Registration closes Wednesday, November 28. Register at: Use Join Code: EVNPYZ If you have ever volunteered at a packing event for FMSC, you know what a special experience it is. Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding hungry children. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals formulated specially for starving children, and they ship the meals to nearly 70 countries around the world. All meals are VEGETARIAN! Note: You do NOT have to be Christian to volunteer or receive the meals. Each volunteer in your group will pack an average of 1 box of food, which equals 216 meals—enough to feed 7 children for nearly a month! Because we can only have a limited number of people attend, please also consider donating to this wonderful organization. Feed My Starving Children relies on donations to purchase the ingredients for their scientifically formulated food. As more volunteers pack meals, they need more dollars to purchase the necessary ingredients. Please consider making a monetary donation in addition to/instead of your donation of time and energy. The following info is from an email from FMSC for a previous packing event we did: -Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift. -Volunteers must wear close-toed shoes. -Volunteers should stay at home if they are not feeling well or if they have severe food allergies. (This is extremely important since the food is being sent to communities already in poor health.) -Bring your camera! You are welcome to take pictures of your group during times directed by our FMSC Team Leaders.
