Get out Early and beat the heat ! 40 - 45 miles at 14 - 15 mph. Slow roll out to warm-up for about 10 minutes of easy pedaling. There will be some hills and we will be faster on the flats. Mostly all roads so bring tail light even though we will be out early and hopefully before many cars. No one will be dropped. We will stop for refreshments somewhere on the way back so bring money. Remember its hot so you need lots of water, helmet and the ability to do this pace for this distance. See you then.

Moss Mill Rd, Smithville, NJ 08060 3.Saturday Rides all leave from Ocean City, NJ at 8am or earlier so we all get back for plenty of beach time and evening dinner and socials. Look for individual ride leader posted rides on the SCU Meetup site. We will have a variety of rides spanning short 25 mile rides up to a full 100 mile century. 4. Sunday Rides all leave from Ocean City, NJ. All the Sunday rides follow the coastal highway SOUTH heading thru the beach communities of Ocean City, Strathmere, Sea Isle City Avalon and Stone Harbor before turning around to head back to Ocean City. You and your group decide on your turn-around point. There are no Q sheets for these rides. We just follow the coastal highway and turn back around usually after having lunch. Rides start at various times and locations. Look for individual posts from the various SCU ride leaders. You must make your own reservations at your favorite beach resort. There is not one specific hotel that the cyclists stay although many find housing arrangements at Luray Manor, Glen-Nor and the Blue Water Inn. Check with these hotels about where you can keep your bike. Some of these hotels do not allow cycles to be kept inside so prepare to lock your bikes tonyour bike racks or keep them locked inside your car.
