Vision LI (the Sustainable development arm of Andrew Cuomo's Cleaner Greener Communities is hosting a meeting TONIGHT 3/5/13 from 7-9 PM to INFORM THE PUBLIC ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO WITH YOUR COMMUNITIES. The plan is in place, get out and get involved NOW or be prepared for more apartment buildings in your communities.

The meeting will discuss the following: Greenhouse gas reduction and job creation, water & waste management plans, community development & housing plans, energy & transportation plans and most of all land use and livable communities.

The 8 month planning process will be completed by the end of April.

The LI steering committee consists of the Town of North Hempstead, Vision Long Island, The Sustainability Institute of Molloy College, the Community Development Corporation of LI and AECOM.  


If you go bring a video camera, this is a PUBLIC meeting you can tape it and please please please report back here on meetup what you learned.
