Hello to all!
As we move past the 2012 official holiday for giving thanks, we are happy to open our Nimatullahi Sufi Center for a Sunday afternoon on December 9 from 2-5pm. This is an opportunity for you to come by to read, sit, talk - to experience our Sufi gathering place in an informal way that works best for you. You may want to sit quietly, read and explore the poetry and teachings of current and past Sufi Masters; we also have many issues of the Sufi Journal on hand. We can talk together about your questions and thoughts in a quiet atmosphere of love and acceptance.
We now have over 40 "members" of our Meetup group, individuals of various persuasions who may feel some draw to Sufism, men and women who are actively seeking out spiritual experiences but for different reasons. Some appear to be familiar with Rumi and the mystic poets, or perhaps have had encounters with other Sufi orders. Others inquire knowing little to nothing specific about Sufism but are trying to find the place where it feels right, a way to move significantly deeper into an authentic, spiritual life.
It's said that a spiritual call comes at a particular time, and we each have a choice to respond. If we respond, we are led forward by our hearts, by Divine Love. It may not be clear, the path we are meant to travel, but responding is key.
We hope to see you - let us know if you'd like to come by and we'll send specific directions. Enjoy the movement into winter, the intensity, but also find quiet as the level of marketing and Holiday Commerce begins in earnest. Nurture quiet and listen to your heart for what - for Whom - is truly calling you!
