What we're about
We don't want to see the children of our local community forgotten and left behind. Too many children in our neighborhoods are underserved and live in households which can barely provide enough for everyone. We want to put a stop to that and have created a culture in our club which aims to assist the children of Summerville meet some basic needs, enjoy life, and, at times, assist in providing a safe temporary home for children being abused or taken advantage of.
We created "RAKS" (Rotary Acts of Kindness) where we complete one service project a month within the community focused on aiding our local youth.
We have weekly meetings to learn about Rotary and things happening in and around the Summerville area.
We've created two major fundraisers to support our kids projects - Summerville's Rockin' the Ville-Derby Day Social and the Summerville Rotary Oktoberfest held in Hutchinson Square.
So whether you want to help out in the community or just have a fun time with some great events - come on out on Monday night at 5:45 pm and see what we're about.
