Let's get a great cardio hike during the week and enjoy some treats with some outdoor peeps!
Please judge your abilities. There are plenty of switch backs, we don't go fast but certainly not slow. We will take a break at the top of the hill at Danielson Monument and share our treats.
-Please bring a dish to share and your drink of choice, backpack recommended. Post your goodies on comments.
-Round trip is 7 miles.
-1500' elevation gain.
-Meet at 5:55, depart at 6p ;)
Bring: water, flashlight/headlamp, hiking/trail shoes, and a fun attitude :)
Please comment what you're bringing so we end up with a nice variation, I will bring cups, plates, napkins, forks and wine bottle opener.
Example: hummus and pita bread, cheeses, artisan breads, salads, desserts, dips, chopped fruit, chocolate in any form and any home made dish. Please just make sure food is ready to serve, chopped, sliced etc.
TRADER JOE'S always a great idea, yummy home cooked stuff too :)
And for drinks you may truly bring anything you like.
Directions: Take the 101 Freeway to the Wendy exit in Newbury Park. At the end of the off-ramp proceed south (make a left from either freeway direction) on Wendy until it dead-ends at Potrero Road. Park in the adjacent dirt parking area.
