FNST Western Corridor Hiking Series - Hike 10b

Western Corridor Hiking Series  Hike 10b Croom TH to Silver Lake

For Hike 10b, we pick back up the FNST in Croom. We will meet at Silver Lake and run the shuttle down the road to our starting point at Tucker Hill Trailhead.  When you enter the Silver Lake Recreation Area stay to the left (the Day Use Area) and park at the end near the water.  Meet at the Pavillion at 8:30a.

After shuttling from Silver Lake we start the hike at Tucker Hill trail head and hike along the A Loop past the Willow Street turn.  The FNST continues on the B Loop to the Hi-Low Trail and then to Silver Lake.  This section of trail sports a few hills and some gorgeous waterfront vistas. We will take the “low” portion of the Hi-Low Trail and have lunch along the water before ending at Silver Lake.

The Croom area is home to several hiking loops as well as mountain bike trails and horse trails.  Join us for this beautiful hike in one of the most popular recreation areas in region.  The hike is ~10 miles.

A nice small group of 5 very nice people. Karen was a great leader setting a good pace for this trail. Learned several interesting facts during the hike.

Sorry to cancel, but I decided to continue one more day at the FTA Stone Soup gathering and tour Fort Foster with others on Sunday. See you on a future hike.

Not entirely sure on this, I may go down to okeechobee to continue my trek on the FTA - sucky road walking left to do

I understand Sheri...though I personally would rather do this hike than road walking ;)

I may have to drop out. My sister is in town on vaca, but we really haven't decided on how often and when we will see each other.
