FYI, there is NO drinking water here, so bring lots. There is also only an outhouse, no running water or showers. Also be prepared for Mosquitoes! Do we need wood? It is a good MTBike place (bringing mine) and has access to the Withlacoochee river.

Bill is correct, but it also has a wide, beautiful, grassy expanse (that is regularly mowed) for very comfortable camping, surrounded by tall trees. Bring your kayaks because Gum Slough (one of the prettiest little spring-fed streams) is just across from the river bank [ask Arnold to be your guide]. This is one of my favorite places to camp/hike/kayak. The trail work is not very taxing because we always have a lot of people to help.

    Again, thank you.

Also, I work that Friday until 3 PM. Will there be a problem if I get there around 5 PM?

    November 29

    • Wes C

A 5:00 PM arrival is not a problem as long as you have the gate code with you. It is typically sent out a week before the event to those going.

Is this outing available to all, or is just for FTA members?

    November 29

    • Wes C

In past years it has been open to all.
