The Entrance Fee for this State Park is $4.
Take I-4 East from the Down Town junction with I-275 to
the first exit, 21st St, exit and go south (right) to the
first light. This is Palm Avenue. Turn Right on Palm Ave.
Go two blocks to 19th St. The Museum is on the next corner
(19th St and 9th Avenue). The Immigrants' statue is across
9th Avenue from the museum and is obvious. To park,
continue on 19th St and after you cross 8th Avenue, turn
left into the metered lot. The meters on a Friday will be
$1.00 an hour. Bring some coins and reserve parking
spot for 4-hours ($4.00). Walk a block back through the
park to statue.
About our Tour Guide:
Emmett Clary is an outdoorsman and an avid canoe/kayak
paddler. Additionally he has had a lifetime love for
anything Latin. He has a masters degree in Spanish and
speaks conversational Italian. His wife is Cuban.
He has been a thirty year member of the Ybor City
Chamber of Commerce having served many years on the
Board of Directors and serving as secretary and Long
Range Planning Chairman.
His love affair with Ybor City led him to the Board of
Directors of the Ybor City State Museum Society where
he now serves as a bilingual volunteer. He and his wife
(Jo) translated the tour script into Spanish. He leads
tours in English and Spanish, gives talks about Ybor
City and the Museum to clubs, societies, schools and
