What we're about

This meetup group is for the Suncoast Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society. Our mission is to promote the preservation, conservation, and restoration of Florida's native plants and native plant communities. We have field trips to see Florida's wild areas both near and far, presentations by various speakers on a wide range of environmental subjects, plant sales, and volunteer opportunities.

If you are interested in learning more about native plants, gardening and landscaping with natives, Florida's ecology, and basically, what the heck all those leafy green things growing out there in the woods are - we are the group for you! Please keep in mind, that while we allow anyone to join our Meetup group, being a Meetup member is not the same as being a member of the Suncoast Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society. Please come to a few of our meetings and field trips, and if you enjoy what we do, consider becoming an official member of the Florida Native Plant Society/Suncoast Chapter.
