Live Better - Help Often - Wonder More
This is the New York City branch of Sunday Assembly! Sunday Assembly is a secular community that meets to hear great talks, sing songs and generally celebrate the wonder of life. It’s gathering for anyone who wants to live better, help often and wonder more.
We started in London in January 2013 and we accidentally became a movement. There are now Assemblies in Exeter, Melbourne, New York and Bristol, with Southend and Brighton starting soon. The Sunday Assembly is the brainchild of comedians Sanderson Jones (bearded, over-excitable, international purveyor of The Comedy Sale) and Pippa Evans (musical, hilarious, BBC Radio 4, 4 Extra, The Showstoppers) who discovered on one long car journey to a gig that they were both thinking about starting a friendly community gathering for like-minded people.
We aren't just a single event either. Browse through the listings here of our various outings, groups and volunteer opportunities and you'll probably find something you'd like to do (and possibly some things that don't interest you even slightly). We're doing so many cool things!
All of our events are free and open to the public...though donations are always welcome! We are non-religious, radically inclusive and seek to build a strong, supportive community in our city.
Come along on this quest to bring reason, encouragement, and wonder into the lives of anyone who wants to join in with us!
Keep up with us on Facebook, Twitter, and our blog.
