Spring Picnic

Spend an early evening under the trees with your Sunday Assembly community. Let's take a moment to appreciate the warmer weather, make new friends, and get to know each other better. BYO Picnic - Please bring whatever you would like to eat and drink. There are several picnic tables at the Windmill Hill picnic shelter, but you may want to bring a blanket or folding chairs. There is not a grill, water tap or electric hook-up available at the shelter. You are allowed to bring a grill or generator if you're feeling ambitious.

We'll have some fun activities for the kids including an egg hunt. Parents of children that will be participating in the egg hunt should bring 24 stuffed eggs per child. Kids should bring a bag or basket to collect eggs. Each child will hunt for 24 eggs.

Directions From Shelby Ave: Take a right on 19th Ave- Make a left on Electric Ave - Drive into the park, the grassy area and pavilion immediately to the left is Windmill Hill. Street parking is available on Electric Avenue.

No alcohol, drugs, or firearms allowed in the parks at any time.

Mamas and papas - don't forget your 24 plastic eggs filled with candy, stickers, coins, etc per child. Each child will hunt for 24 eggs (which evolves into the older ones helping the little ones at the end and is adorable.)

Jam session @ the Spring Picnic is happening. If you play a (portable, acoustic) instrument bring it!

Windmill Hill at Shelby Park has a lovely prospect. On the lawns near the pavilion, there's space for frisbees and kites.
