August's book is Religion for Atheists: A Non-believer's Guide to the Uses of Religion, by Alain de Botton. The topic is one near and dear to many Assemblers - what can non-believers borrow from religion in order to Live Better? De Botton looks to religion for insights into how to build a sense of community, make relationships last, overcome feelings of envy and inadequacy, inspire travel, get more out of art, and reconnect with the natural world.
We'll meet at Clayton's house. Carpooling is strongly encouraged as parking is limited. When you come in, drive all the way to the top of the hill and turn right, there is guest parking there and at the very end of the road if that is full. Please do not park on the street. The house is on the left with three lawn lights in front. Bring a snack or beverage of your choice (or don't) and come ready to discuss!
