"What Do You People Want?!" - Americans United's Rob Boston

  • Immediately after our December service and potluck, stick around for this event from our friends at Americans United for the Separation of Church and State!

Join us on Sunday for a program with Rob Boston, Director of Communications and Editor of Church & State magazine for Americans United for Separation of Church and State.

In this talk, Rob will discuss the ideal secular society that many supporters of church-state separation are working toward and that answer the question frequently asked by followers of the religious right:

    "What Do You People Want?:
A Positive Vision of Separation of Church and State."

Rob's speech will cover topics such as:
     • government endorsement of religion,
     • the role of religion in public education,
     • LGBT rights,
     • taxpayer support for religious projects, and
     • how to define religious freedom claims in a multi-faith, multi-philosophy society.

His talk will also include a discussion of the challenges we face under the incoming Trump administration.

The program is free but your RSVP would be appreciated.

On behalf of Americans United and our co-sponsors, we look forward to welcoming you to our program.

I see you have a new member meetup on Wed Dec 7. I wish I lived closer! I would love to attend. But I'm a distance away. I look forward to meeting you all.

Oh my gosh, I want to go! This is so important!

I haven't been to a meetup since I joined the group. (Distance from you, is why!) And just as far from our home--we'll be in Tracy, California on Dec 9 & Dec 10. Not yet sure if I'm up for another long drive on the 11th. Hopefully, if the spots aren't all full b4 I can decide, I'll make this one! With a plus-one (Felix).
