We are a secular congregation that meets to celebrate life and help each other get more out of it. Our tagline: Live Better, Help Often and Wonder More. We meet monthly on the fourth Sunday of the month with a few exceptions. We have socials meets and community action meets on top of the monthly Sunday. If you’ve made it this far I’m sure you’re full of questions about SA so let me start by explaining a bit about what we’re about.
We arrange talks that aim to inspire and enlighten, provide the setting for a good ole’ sing song, showcase poets and have short interactive sections such as tango and mindfulness for example. We segway in a couple of minutes of silence for quiet reflection and then finish up with tea, cake and good chat. Some people go on to a pub after where you can enjoy a Sunday Roast with your new found friends.
We have no creed or belief system that we preach, be that new age or otherwise and we’re not going to ask you to “join us”. You don’t have to be non religious to attend but most probably are. Also we’re not here to convert anybody to anything; faith is integral to our humanity and we recognise that. Everybody, and we do mean everybody, is welcome!
The aim is to provide a community space for growth, laughter and love; where people can meet and socialise simply to build friendships and get more out of life.
