What we're about

Want motivation to get moving on Sunday morning? We meet at 8 am on Sundays at St. Paul's Christian Church to check in with each other, and then run or walk around the neighborhood at your own pace. All ages, paces & distances welcome! After you have attended 10 times, you get a free Brunch Run Club t-shirt.

When you get back, enjoy coffee and conversation, along with free pancakes! You're also welcome to stay for Brunch Worship at 9:02 am -- yes, even in your workout clothes. This is an informal, discussion-based Christian worship service, which takes place around the table as we eat. We're an open-minded group that welcomes questions and people of all kinds. There's no pressure to stay for worship if you just want to run/walk and meet some new people as you do.

We are just starting this Run/Walk club, so we may be small at first but welcome you to help us grow. Our goal is to be a friendly and supportive group which encourages people of all fitness levels to get and stay active. We will occasionally do 5k & some other races or activities together if there is interest.

Sunday Run/Walk

St Paul's Christian Church

We'll meet at 8 am (in St. Paul's parking lot, 3331 Blue Ridge Rd., Raleigh 27612) to sign in, do introductions and see if anyone wants to run or walk at the same pace together. Then, everyone gets moving! You can choose your own distance and pace, and we'll provide some suggested routes around the neighborhood and nearby greenways. We'll have a water cooler at the church, but if it's hot you may want to bring your own water bottle. When you get back, feel free to hang out to visit and drink coffee. You're welcome to stay for our Brunch Worship at 9:02am. It's a very informal, discussion-based service where we gather around tables, eat pancakes (or other breakfast treats), sing, pray and reflect together on a topic. You'll fit right in, even in work out clothes. There's a play area for kids in the same room where we eat and worship, so it's family-friendly. There's no pressure to stay for worship if you just want to run/walk and then be on your way. This is a brand new event, so we are just getting it off the ground and may be small in numbers to start - so come be a part of it from the very beginning! Our goal is to create a supportive, encouraging community of active people who want to help each other to get moving. And the pancakes don't hurt either!
