Sunday Coder Club

The first coder club was a great afternoon for all. Some people even got some coding done :)

There's a great vibe and atmosphere there on a Sunday afternoon. Great to have a chat, learn about other peoples' projects and show them yours.

We'll be doing it again every two weeks.

You'll find us upstairs at The Coder Factory in Surry Hills, at 91 Campbell Street (on the corner of Batman Lane :)

The idea is for coders, both beginners and experienced, to get together and work on their own projects, sip on a beer or three and have fun.

Bring your laptop or workstation of choice, your latest hacker project and community spirit.

It's a great opportunity to meet people with different skills and knowledge, to collaborate and help each other out and share your tricks of the trade.

Let's pool our resources and talents and have fun while building cool stuff.

    Hi Tarun,

It is important do know the suburb, because if the street continues into a different suburb the numbers will change. So you might even find the number you're looking for, but you will be in the wrong place.

A bit messed up! You will also find many streets with the same name, but in different suburbs.

Also, do not fall for the numbers! In some places numbers are an indication in meters of how far you are from your destiny. So if you're in front of the 400 and need to go to 460, you know it is just a 60m walk. NOT HERE!!!! You will walk A LOT if you follow you try to follow this rule.

Another thing, if the right side of your body points to the even numbers on the street and left side to the odd numbers you automatically know that the numeration will increase in front of you and decrease behind you. Just so you know that does apply here either! :-)

I tried to help, but I am sure I confused you more.
Best thing to do: Google Maps!

Hi All, I am new to Australia and recently missed a meetup because of common street names. Can I please request fellow members to give me the complete address of this meetup. Pardon my ignorance but I don't want to miss another meetup. Thanks

Hi Tarun. Even I faced similar issues earlier, best option is to get the contact numbers of organisers in case you need to reach out to them.

*that does NOT apply here, can't edit the post, sorry.

Taking the chance to update my info, Google says that street numeration in Australia is measured by kangaroo hops! I swear!
