Post Thanksgiving Calorie Burn Sunset Hike @ Boat Canyon (All levels Welcome)

  • This location is shown only to members

  • Okay, Now that we have Gobbeled up all those calories .... It's time to burn em off !!!

Join us for a great calorie burning fun workout with hills while watching the sunset over Catalina Island. The ocean views from the cliff at the end of Boat Canyon above Laguna Beach are Awesome!

Everyone can hike at their own pace, We are dedicated to taking beginner to intermediate level hikes while watching the sunset in OC, If you are a fast hiker, that's fine. If you are a slower hiker, that's fine too. We will regroup at all trail junctures.

About the hike: This is a Out & Back hike, Boat Canyon is a ridge above Laguna Beach. We'll start our hike on the Boat Spur Ridge Trail & after a 1 mile uphill warmup we'll regroup at the top, then continue on Boat Canyon Rd. (right) towards Bommer Ridge. We will Hike for 1 hour & turnaround, returning to Boat Canyon trail head. And out of the park the same way we entered.

    Distance: Approx. 4-5 miles
    Duration: Approx. [masked] hours
    Elev. Gain/Loss: 400- 900 ft.

~ This is a residential area please keep noise down to not disturb residents ~

From P. C. H. going South: towards Laguna Beach turn left on San Joaquin St. Turn right on Hillcrest Dr, Turn Left on Dartmoor St. drive to the end.

From P.C.H. going North: pass Laguna Beach turn right on San Joaquin St. Turn right on Hillcrest Dr, Turn Left on DARTMOOR ST drive to the end.

Note: No smoking of any kind on our hikes.  We are always hiking in areas where fires are easily started by sparks and ash.  In addition, we want to enjoy the clean air and beauty of our surroundings.  Thank you for understanding.

HI Gary, Even if they close the park, I'd still love to get together and walk along main beach in Laguna and watch the big surf, or something. I want an excuse to get out of the house.
