ABOUT THE HIKE: The Oso Creek Trail is a lovely, popular, shaded, hiking gem hidden within the residential area of Mission Viejo. The trail is mostly paved with some sections of hard pack dirt. We will hike 3-4 miles round trip with some minimal elevation gain/loss. This beginner hike is done at a moderate pace and usually takes about 90 minutes. The hike is dog friendly. We will be hiking after sunset in the dark. Remember to bring a headlamp or small flashlight and water.
Optional: Dinner afterwards at one of the restaurants in the center (to be determined).
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From the 5 Freeway in South OC, take the La Paz exit heading inland. Turn right onto Marguerite Parkway. Turn left into the shopping center. Park in the south end of the shopping center, near Del Taco, Rubios or Trader Joes. Walk a short distance south on Marguerite Parkway to the posted Oso Creek Trailhead.
