ABOUT THE HIKE: Enjoy a beautiful morning hike on the Juanita Cooke Trail to Laguna Lake and back. This Beginner 5 mile hike is a moderately paced conditioning walk on one mostly flat, dirt, multiuse trails with one small hill. These lovely paths are a wonderful escape from urban Orange County. The trails begin behind the Orange County Superior Court House in Fullerton. They follow along shady paths lined with huge, old Oak and Eucalyptus trees. Neighbors on both sides have put in beautiful landscaping providing flowering shrubs, citrus, and palm trees, while keeping their barns for their much loved horses. The Juanita Cooke Trail is named for the woman who once served as liaison for the Fullerton Recreation Riders; a local equestrian group that helped originally get the trail built. Rain on the proceeding day or forecast for the day of the hike will cancel it. The hike is dog friendly. Please feel free to join us for post hike refreshments at McClain's Coffee House located nearby.
