Buddhist Discourse on Contemplating the Elements
About Vipassana meditation:
Vipassana is the oldest of Buddhist meditation practices.
The object of Vipassana meditation practice is to learn to see the true nature of reality: anicca (impermanence,) dukkha (unsatisfactoriness,) and anatta (selflessness of phenomena.)
“When insight is developed, what purpose does it serve? Discernment is developed. And when discernment is developed, what purpose does it serve? Ignorance is abandoned." AN 2.31: Vijjābhāgiya Sutta
All retreats and classes at Sunshine Meditation Center are run solely on a donation basis.
You may give a donation, small or large according to your means and volition.
You donate not with the idea of paying for what you have received, but to give someone else the same opportunity in the future.
Each center is financially autonomous and these donations are the only source of funding; there is no wealthy foundation or individual sponsoring the courses. Returning students may give a donation at any time.
Looking forward to seeing you in one of our classes.
May our practice be free of obstacles and full of Insights.
May all beings achieve Nibbana!
