Welcome Wednesdays - All-Levels Tennis for Fun!

Glenridge Middle School

Beginners to experts and everywhere in between are welcome on Welcome Wednesdays! We are about having fun, getting in a good workout and improving our skills by playing tennis with friends old and new.

If you want to play, please add yourself to the event waitlist. No matter how many people sign up, we will be able to accommodate you. So bring some tennis balls, a racket, some water and come on out!

Tennis for intermediate - advanced players (3.0+)

Glenridge Middle School

Play some tennis and have some fun. This event is intended for intermediate-advanced players (NTRP rating of 3.0+). Format is flexible, though usually 3 sets with player rotation.

All attending should bring a new can of balls for hard court play. Also, it is STRONGLY encouraged that attendees bring plenty of water or some other form of hydration (there is only one water fountain on site and it isn't pretty).

Players should also be aware that bathroom facilities are a bit sketchy. While there is one close to the court, it is often closed, with the next nearest one on the other side of the park. Do not rely on the school, as it is typically not open.

Don't forget to lock your vehicle. It's a nice area, but it pays to be safe.

That's about it. Have fun!

Tennis for Intermediate Players- 2.5 and above

Details
This Meetup is for intermediate players who enjoy social tennis. We play doubles with occasionally a singles court, depending on the number of players. Partners and opponents are rotated.

Typically 2.5 - 3.5 players participate. Please be sure you are at this level before agreeing to join. If you are not confident you possess this skill level, Mondays and Wednesdays have been reserved for beginning players. This policy will be enforced.

Bring a can of new tennis balls and your own beverage.

If you are not able attend, please update your rsvp at least 24 hours in advance. If you are on the waiting list, please check to see if you have been moved to the play roster.

By participating, you agree to assume all risks to your person and property. Never leave your valuables in your car. Availability of courts is usually not a problem, but not guaranteed.
