Great idea for a meetup. Helping those poor sods stuck in Iraq was a very worthwhile way to spend an afternoon. You should definitely plan this event again only next time have the group meet after at one of the local bars like the Springbok on Victory at Woodley or the 94th Aero Squadron restaurant off the Van Nuys airport.

There were a lot a volunteers from many organizations. We were able to package over 6,000 gifts to soldiers Saturday. I wish we were able to send a message not to worry because they were coming home soon.

Hi! I did this a couple of years ago through the church group.
Will be working in that area on that weekend. Do we have to
be there at exactly 1 p.m., or
are shifts of 2 hrs available at a time? Let me know, but at
any rate, please count me in.
    This armory is very organized
and you would be amazed at
    how many packages can get
done in an hour! Quite an ex-
    perience! Ruth
