Super Smash Melee, Wii U & Brawl tournaments and weekly practice battles!
Calling all Super Smash Bros players! Beginners, Amateurs & pros. Do you have the skills to be the best? Do you want to win cash prizes, gift certificates and champion recognition for being the best? Then this meetup group is for you.
Super smash bros tournaments (for WII U) around New York City, but mostly in Williamsburg Brooklyn. There will be several types of Tournaments. Standard Tournament, two tag team and the Royal battle tournament.
Beginners, Amateurs and Pros are welcomed to practice on non-tournament days (Sun 1pm-6pm, Mon 6pm-1am, Wednesday 6pm-11pm).
1. Standard Tournament - One on one battles, best two out of three per round played on two 55" big screen televisions. Winners will advance to the next round, until the final championship battle. First prize winners will win $40-$100 in cash or gift certificates (depending on how many people show up). Second and Third place will win gift certificates.
2. Ultimate Action Tournament - (Designed by Action Burger) 5-10 rounds, eight players per tv (two televisions, A & B). Every round, the last place person will be eliminated. Matches will count down to final 1st round, where three final players will battle it out for first, second and third place. The battle continues, 6 final players from televisions A & B, will play against each other in teams, 3 vs 3, in a best of 2 out of 3 final battle. The team that wins will win the tournament. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners will win their prizes in their original previous game order. So, what are you waiting for? Sign up! Have a question, ask the group.
**Don't RSVP if you aren't 100% sure you can make it that day for the Tournament. You must give 12 hour notice if you plan to cancel, so standby RSVPs can enter the contest. RSVP's on standby must be ready to goto tournament if they move into an open slot. Please be considerate of other members who really want to compete. Practice days doesn't matter.
Members will be given a warning if you violate these rules, you do it again, then you'll be booted out of the group for 90 days. This applies to all tournaments, practice days doesn't matter.
